Park City Ski Trip

Deer Valley Resort(rated #1 ski resort in North America like 5 years in a row)

Jordanelle Gondola

View of Jordanelle Resevoir from the gondola

There it is, the $350 a night motel room

Heated pool and hot tubs with snow surrounding it, yes it was warm in it.
Park City trip was given to us from Karen as part of her time share. Thanks Karen, it was a lot of fun. We had the motel room at Marriot Summit Watch for a week but I stayed there for 4 days and dad is still there for the whole week. I skied at Deer Valley one of the days and it was a very good resort. It was the first time I skied it and I could see why it was #1 resort in North America. Great runs, lifts, good snow, and good service. There weren't any lines either! I had a lot of fun skiing and it wasn't cold at all. I'd go there again.

It's always nice to get in the hot tub after a day of skiiing.

Ya, it felt good.

Cool. I wish I could figure out a way to get a hot tub or swimming pool out in the desert after a long day of riding:)..at least we got a nice hot or cold shower and a trailer to cool off or warm up, with a dew and a movie eh.

..it's nice to sit by a warm fire and look at the stars sometimes too.:)

That's nice too. I wish you and Mike skied with me that day though, it was fun. But I know you rather go down to Caineville or Moab Dunes, that's sounds like a lot of fun to enjoy the warm temps and camping. I like to camp too and I am thinking about doing some camping this summer in the mountains. Do you want to go up the mountains and just camp this year? My style of camping is a lot different than yours(one person tent, get lost, etc.) but maybe I can sleep in your trailer this time. I don't know, sleeping in the tent is fun for me though. We'll see.

I'm not quite sure how me and my family would fit in a one person tent;) I think we might do "your style" of camping more than you do. We go up prov or bountiful in a tent every year at least once. What makes it "our style"? Is it the dirt bikes? The trailer? The locations? The family? If I do your style, do I have to drive a geo, sleep in a one person tent, leave my family and toys home, get lost, and eat your food? I guess I could do that.

You don't have to do my style of camping. I will do my own style and you do your own.

That's cool that you guys camp seriously and I am getting to be more like dad. It's really funny. I am a big rinky dink in camping or maybe other things. Tents are fun and convenient but that's what I can afford I guess. I don't really camp that much anyways because it's not something I enjoy doing all the time. I like my own world(bikes, ski, etc.), but it's fun for me. I try to support everybody in what they do and try not complain about it. Do their thing just 2% of your life then all the rest is yours. That's the cool part.

I just still don't see the difference between "my style" and "your style" that's all. You don't like "our style"....why??? was skyline my style or your style? I don't understand your 2% comment either..oh well, whatever eh. seeya.

We are probably going out to 5-mile pass towards the end of March. You're welcome to meet us there with your tent and mtn. bike. We'll be going up bountiful sometime I'm sure, and probably skyline sometime too..do you have something else in mind? I wouldn't want to tell you what to do you know;) I know how you don't like that.

Ya, that sounds fun. I like five mile pass. I don't see anything wrong with your style of camping, the trailer and stuff is really fun! I really like your nice tent too. I need to get a bigger tent, like a three person tent, it's no fun sleeping in a one man tent. It feels like sleeping in a snow cave.

Where's the big screen tv?

...in the $350/night motel room?

..by the way, you're welcome to sleep in our trailer too, but I wouldn't want to make you..it's up to you.
