Finally got a car problem....

After 145,000 miles on this '95 Geo Prizm, it got a car problem. I don't know if that is good or bad but I thought it was pretty good after 150,000 miles. When I got home, the car stalled and then I tried to start it, it wouldn't start, so I jumped started it with mom's car then it started then I left it on to recharge the battery then after a few minutes, it turned off. So, I first thought it was the alternator. To make sure, I made sure it wasn't the battery, so I charged it overnight with a battery charger. So, the battery is good. Then next day after work, I barely made it to Auto Zone and had them do some tests on it and they said it could be the alternator. To make sure, I took the alternator off with some help from an Auto Zone guy because the Japenese have to squish all the parts so close together(Toyota engine). It was really hard to take it out. We finally got it out and the Auto Zone guy tested on the alternator tester and it failed. So, it's the alternator! I bought one from there and it has lifefime warranty, that's good news. Then we put it on and now it works great! My first car problem on this car.

A couple made up redneck jokes....

Here's a couple of redneck jokes mom and I made up:

Dan: "You're a redneck if you tie a outdoor thermometer with a fishing line and hang it out of the truck side window."

Mom: "You're a redneck if you let your dog clean up your dinner table and wash your dishes for you."

Deer Valley Mountain Biking Blast

Deer Valley was fun. I did the Tour Des Homes climb up to Silver Lake and went down the Devo Trail, the Devo Trail is a hard one it is a black diamond trail. There are some double black trails but you have to have a 10 inch travel suspension downhill bike for those. I thought they closed down the Devo Trail, they used that trail for the National XC races, last time before yesterday, I tried to go down it but it was closed, I guess they opened it again. It's pretty fun. Then I went to Deer Crest(down further, below Deer Valley Resort) and went down the Pipeline Trail and went up it again. That one is fast! I am going to do some Park City mountain biking again maybe in July or so.

Cabin Is Complete

That's it, no more work on it. I just need to find an old rocking chair for the porch, so if you see one, let me know. I finished the porch while my boss was at New Mexico installing the cabinets we did a couple months ago. Ya, it took the homeowner that long to paint their stupid house. I painted mom and dad's whole house in eight days....with a roller. That guy had a power painter, I am like, "What the hell?" I don't know, anyways, I think the cabin looks pretty nice though. I wish it was in the mountains, that's all.

Tony doesn't believe me!

Tony hasn't believed me all along and I thought he did so here I am to prove it. Here's the pictures of the new movie of Rambo and it is on DVD now but I haven't seen it. The one I have seen is Indiana Jones: Kingdom Of Crystal Skull. Now that was one great movie. That one is in theaters. So Tony, here's the pictures, now do you believe me? That's a bad thing about having a DVR and not watching any commercials is that you don't know what new movies are coming out and then you turn ancient.

Splinkler Heaven

While riding my mountain bike this Sunday morning, I saw that EVERY sprinkler was on and was a beautiful sight. It goes on all the way to the end of the picture. Just all over the freakin' valley!
