Cabin Is Complete

That's it, no more work on it. I just need to find an old rocking chair for the porch, so if you see one, let me know. I finished the porch while my boss was at New Mexico installing the cabinets we did a couple months ago. Ya, it took the homeowner that long to paint their stupid house. I painted mom and dad's whole house in eight days....with a roller. That guy had a power painter, I am like, "What the hell?" I don't know, anyways, I think the cabin looks pretty nice though. I wish it was in the mountains, that's all.

yeh, daniel is ready for retirement, after 5 long years of working, it all stops as he reitres from all his work, cabinetry, lawn mowing, construction, bike work, and concentrates on rocking rocking rocking in his chair on his poarch watching his dogs, cat and daydreams of his past glories

it is beautiful, Daniel. You are a great craftsman.

That looks really good! Put that thing on wheels and you can have it in the mountains! ;)

Will you haul it up with your diesel for me then?

That would be cool if I got a piece of property up there in the mountains somewhere, I would make sure there is enough room for your trailer too then you can camp up there with me. I can be in my cabin and your family will be in your trailer. You can also leave your trailer up there a long time too. And just come down every weekend or so. Wouldn't that be really awesome?!?!

There is some land up there right by Major's Flat for sale for $11,000 for like 3/4 of an acre. The land up there is cheaper. I don't think the Forest Service would sell any land but in the state land, you can buy it real cheap. I wouldn't want to put my cabin right by Major's Flat but I am thinking more like on that state land along the Willow Creek Trail. Virgil Ash bought a piece of land there and put that Mongolian tent on it I was talking about. Would be pretty sweet though.

I called my boss and said that the kitchen walls of the New Mexico house weren't still painted but the ceiling was. Really rediculous. My boss said that he procrastinated. My boss put the cabinets on anyway. The procrastinator was supposed to help my boss install the cabinets but he was sick so he had one of the neighborhood kids help him. Yep, I should have gone down with him.

Ok, cool, but I guess I was hinting that it should be an actual trailer instead of a cabin ;) I can see why there is an allure to owning some land to get away on, but with a trailer you can go anywhere you want. I wouldn't want to stay in one place for too long. I already have a house to live in, a cabin would be nice for a while, but I think I would get bored going to the same place all the time for my "liesure" time:)

ok. But unless it is on a really pretty place right by a lake with mountain peak views and deer running by. Now that would be sweet. Never going to happen though.

The cabin looks really nice Daniel. You have done a really good job on it.

Yea, it might be sweet if that was all that you liked I guess, but like you say, it would never happen. It's fun to dream a little though! My perfect spot doesn't exist all in one place. I would have to have high mountains, vast desert, ominous redrock cliffs, gray shale domes and spires, cool mountain streams, trout filled lakes, endless trails..actaully, I wouldn't want it all in one place, it would look kind of funny:) Sometimes I like walking out my door to a the vast deserts of..say Caineville, sometimes I like walking out to a rainstorm high in the mountains. I guess for me it's the adventure, and taking all these different places in...and the getting away! We don't even park our trailer in the same spot 90% of the time at each "place". We have like 5 spots we like at nutty putty, Caineville has been different both times. We do have one spot we really like at white wash, but like 10 spots that we like in the Moab area...your cabin really does look nice though! Really good work!
