Black and Decker is famous for a cheap alternative when you don't want to empty your wallet for power you don't need;) I have 4 drills/drivers. 3 black and decker for light/convenient use where I need it and a makita for the tough stuff. 2 sawzalls,..etc. there is a place for the cheaper stuff unless you are made of money;) I wouldn't use anything but a dewalt grinder though, I use my grinder so much. You forgot welders..MILLER or Lincoln. Tube benders, pro tool or JD2. You don't want to skimp on calipers or other gauges either, but a drill press..most will do fine, Air compressors?? Jig saws(dewalt) Chop saws..hitatchi, dewalt etc. unless you don't need to cut straight;)he he.

...an expensive cordless drill would kind of be underpowered for what I use my big corded drill for..:)

Cool! Thanks Tony. I don't really know about the metal power tools, I just listed the wood power tools. I don't know what is a good air compressor yet. Hitachi makes good portable air compressors, also Senco. But I don't know about the giant ones. I am NEVER going to buy a Black and Decker item again!!!! I have had bad experiences with Black and Decker.

Yea, about 11:00 pm eastern. 9:00 our time, after the game ESPN.
I had a black and decker drill that lasted 12 years before I got sick of it and gave it away, and I ABUSED it! The handle was broken from dropping it so it was taped together. I don't use my cordless drills enough to even keep the battery charged, so I'm sure I'll never know how long they will last., so I guess I have had better luck with mine. I have had some shitty craftsman ratchets though. If I did what you do with yours, I would get a dewalt though, but no sense in spending $300 for something I won't use...Yet. All my black and deckers were gifts anyways.
