New Hammock!

Thanks for the Christmas gift you gave me Mike and Laura! I really love it! It feels really comfortable! I put it in a really good nice, private, peaceful spot. I have a good view of the mountains and it is a good place for me to read my bike mags.

ha ha, you know you guys(mom, beck, dan, dad) have 2 jobs between the 4 of you, and we have 4 jobs between the 2 of us(me and Shell) Pretty funny eh? Well, someday I will be retired and lazy in the hammock! Sounds like you both are keeping busy though. Can't wait to see the fire pit project!

I'm being lazy today, I need to get working on the fire pit. I did go on a mountain bike ride this morning though. The weather is so nice right now!

Mountain biking is "being lazy" too Dan.

..I guess I better qualify that. Mountain biking instead of going to work might be lazy. I know your just off this week because of lack of work and your not lazy at all. I guess I am just a little jealous eh! I wish I was out on my bike, but I need the dang money! Being lazy every so often is not a bad thing anyways so I hope you didn't take it that way.
Ok, bye.

I like your hammock it looks relaxing. It is nice to have some time to just do nothing. I think everyone needs that. I think that is part of why we like to go out camping where there is nothing going on so we just have time to sit and do nothing and relax.

Skybob said...

Exactly!
I want to be lazy again real soon!

Being lazy is fun. I like to go on bike rides when I feel like it. It is fun to have the week off this week just slooowly build a fire pit taking lots of breaks on the hammock and go on a fast bike ride.

The fire pit looks really good so far! And the hammock looks REALLY nice!

Hi there son of my most regular commentator.

I'm loving the hammock, I keep meaning to get one myself, a great place for Akela to hold court from on camp I think.

Fab pictures of thebike trails as well. Very few places as remote as that this side of the pond, mores the pity. Only the Cairngorms that come even close!

Hi Dan - You sure do look comfortable in that hammock!
Thanks for stopping and leaving your comment. The Putz visits quite often. I too pick up rocks from where I visit. Between the two of us we might get the earth out of balance.
It is nice that you do woodworking. A couple of years ago we drove with our friend to Las Vegas. He was going on to Provo for a woodworking conference but developed an allergy and had to come home with us instead.
I write more on my regular blog than I do Ask Dr. Jim (blog). You are welcome to peek at it too.

Happy Cinco De Mayo!

Shell said...

Happy Birthday Daniel I hope you have a good one.

Skybob said...

How come that one pine tree is so bent over? Isn't Doug a little upset about it being bent into his shed?

Skybob said...

Is that tree really as tipped as it looks?

Happy "cinco de mayo" was kind of a joke...I was trying to say happy birthday in a round about way.
