A closer view of the map...

I went to Sundance today to bike and it was great! Sundance is famous for turns and burms. They have one downhill trail called "The Bobsled" and it is like going down a bobsled. It is awesome. I did four laps today and I rode for 2 hours. It was intense and steep on the Boneyard Epress climb and had a lot of switchbacks. I went up that twice and up Archies Loop twice. I went down the Bobsled Trail three times and down the Boneyard Express once which was harder. It was really great. Sundance is a lot smaller than Park City but really fun. It has 25 miles worth of singletrack trails and I like Park City and Sundance about the same. Archies loop is a less steeper climb but it is very scenic, you can look down the canyon southward and see Vivian Park Canyon in Provo Canyon. You can see Timpinogus Mountain northward. Mom and Becky came to Provo with me to get Sandy groomed and I had to pick up my fixed my bike after the bike shop put new seals on the fork. So I figured mom would take me to Sundance about 9 miles away from Provo and drop me off there and they would go back down and go eat lunch or shop or something and then pick me up 2- 3 hours later. I thought it would be a good idea and mom said that she didn't mind doing that. So, it is not my first time in Sundance but is still fun everytime.

When you've got mountains, why be in the 102 degree temperature valleys?

Pioneer Trail I built.....

These pictures below are pictures of the Flume Trail, another guy built this trail. I did build the big bridge though. It starts from Taylor's Flat and ends at New Town in Ephraim. It is another great trail and it has great turns and burms. I like to climb my bike up the Main Canyon Road until I get to Lake Hill and then go down the Pioneer and Flume Trails. It is a great ride. It is a great workout and loads of fun. Since I just finished building the new trail(Maple Syrup), I will start riding on that too. It would be a great reward after the big mountain climb.

When you've got trails, why road bike?

There are 540 miles worth of trails in the Park City area. My favorite place. I have biked on every single trail in Park City and Deer Valley Resorts in the past 10 years. I haven't done the Midmountain Trail and The Canyons yet. Park City has great singletrack trails that are everywhere and it's all shady in most places. Lots of pine trees and aspens. And at 7,000 feet or higher, it never gets hot in the middle of the summer. I love the scenery and it is not bike crazy on the crowds like Moab. I went today and only a few people were there. Like 10 or so I have seen. I am planning to go there a lot more this summer and especially do the 30 mile Midmountain Trail that goes over Park City and The Canyons resorts, I can't wait to do that one. There are some good singletrack trails I like down here where I live like the Maple Syrup Trail, Pioneer Trail, and Flume Trail. They are great trails. Well, why bother on road riding when you got trails? Road riding? Too boring. Mountain Biking? Too fun.
Park City or Bust: Mountain Bike Heaven!
Today, I went biking up in Park City Resort to have some mountain bike fun. After a year, I finally get to go again! Singletrack trails everywhere. At first, I climbed on The Spiro Trail and kept going up to Shadow Lake at the top where the snow was at about 9,400 feet. It was a good hour climb and rested at Shadow Lake in Jupiter Bowl and then continued on The Keystone Trail which was level. Then after that, I went down the Steps Trail and the weaving John's Trail. It was super fun! I'd do it again! It was the total of 14 singletrack miles. Later at the end of the month, I will go up there again and do it again and go higher. Also later this summer, I am planning to do the Midmountain Trail that goes from Park City Resort to The Canyons Resort which is 30 miles total, that would be an epic ride for me. I would go do Deer Valley again sometime again but I am scared of all the downhillers there. Maybe I will go there again and be careful and watch for downhillers, go in the morning or something. Deer Valley is great too. Well, it was a great fun trip! You know how excited Tony gets about Moab and loves it so much? It is the same thing for me when I go to Park City. Work sucks, I'm going to Park City!
