Great Riding At Black Hill

B-E-A-UTIFUL day today! Finally, spring has sprung and wouldn't miss this day for a ride. The temperature got to 71 and I headed off to Black Hill and took Duke my dog with me. He really ran and kept up with me the whole time. For a dog like him, he can pass me and get in front on the singletrack trails but doesn't really keep up on the roads when I go a little faster, and boy he was really tired though. After 11 miles of riding and dog runnin', Duke jumped in the giant water puddle from an irrigation ditch at the bottom and drank and drank and cooled off. He ran for an hour without stopping trying to keep up with me.
Black Hill Trails are getting better and better every year. Today, I saw a lot more mountain bike tracks on them than motor bike tracks but it is getting packed down really good. I am so glad they are not closing down the trails, great riding there, just for the spring and fall though(hot and lot's of mosquitos in the summer) but a lot of people like to go there when there is still snow in the mountains. Ephraim's got some great mountain biking trails right in my backyard so I am not moving away, I like it here.
My bike worked great on these trails and I had some great riding today and enjoyed the warm temperatures.

Bad day to do that, should have gone ridin'. Hey I am going to talk into mom about talking to Zeek and the Larsen's about splitting the money for a new fence around the yard. "A good fence makes a good neighbor". What's the cheapest material for a fence? Chain link or wood? I know vinyl is really expensive but they'd probably go for vinyl.

Be nice to keep the dog in.

Actually, it was a nice day to work in the yard.
Chain link is the cheapest.

You say that because you are going to ridin' for 10 days solid next week. I know you would go to the Bountiful benches for a little while if there was no trip planned ahead. We have nothing to do in the yard right now, mom and dad doesn't plant until Memorial Day. I'll probably start mowing in two to three weeks but that only takes 45 min.

Yea, part of "getting ready" to leave home for 10 days is having the house in order, having enough laundry for that long, getting the pine needles off the lawn, shopping for food, supplies etc...etc. It'll be worth it though.

...It's fun to go on a ride, alone, but it's not anywhere near as enjoyable for me as family trips/outings. I guess for me, the camping/adventure/bonding/solitude part of it is half the fun. Either one alone is just ok.

..I mean either one without the other one is just ok.
