I want to go back to elementary school. Not high school, not middle school, or college, but if I had a choice to go back to school, I would go back to elementary school. Recess three times a day, playing kickball, basketball, soccer, or playing on the playground. You get to be with your friends all day long and finger paint and listen to storytime. Get a hot meal for lunch and come home after school, eat a snack and play with your friends some more then eat a good meal made by mom. Then play or watch tv afterwards. You don't have to worry about work, paying bills, taking care of yourself, drive, or going to the store. That would be nice.
I remember in my elementary school there were a lot of fun stuff going on. So much stuff. Like Readasaurus's birthday party, Halloween Carnival, Christmas parties(no learning all day long, just eat candy and watch movies all day...with your friends), star show in Mrs. Madsen's dome tent in the library, Gold Notes, recess, recess, and recess. I remember seeing a cow on the school grounds, that was a big deal for us, maybe the grown ups too. He was standing there eating the grass. I remember Junior Genius, that took a lot effort. Also the Pioneer thingy thing in 4th and 5th grade, I won a quilt made by all the kids in those grades, each kid sewed a square cloth to make a quilt, I still have that quilt, it's out in the cabin and I shouldn't be using it anymore and put it somewhere where no one can touch it because that is something neat to treasure.
All the teachers were really fun, good old Miss Erickson, she died a while ago, then Mr. Barthlomew, he is still teaching there, Mrs. Stoddard was a very friendly teacher, also died. They actually cared about you. If I chose anywhere I want to go right now and there are no laws, I would go to elementary school and ride my bike every day. Talk about fun, fun, fun!

It's fun to think back of how care free life was, but as more challenges, trials, and experiences come along the greater the rewards and the fuller life is too. Sometimes I look at our dog and think, man I wish I could sit there all day and lick my butt..then I realize how sad I am for him for not having any ups or downs. All a dog can look foward too is a cleaner butt and maybe a daily walk. It's the same thing every day. I guess that scripture is right that talks about having opposition in all things.
I would like to be dog too but I rather be a 7 year old year old kid for 90 years. It would be nice though, to not worry about things. Hey have you seen Case of Benjamin Button? We watched it in the movie theater lastnight and it's about a guy live his life backwards, he's born an old person then die as a young baby. It's interesting but it was a long movie. Three hours long.
Nope, haven't seen it...haven't heard of it. Don't you think you might miss out on a lot being a 7 year old kid all your life though?..besides, I don't think your parents would be too thrilled LOL!:)
Ya, I guess. Might as well live life the normal way. But you still do a lot of fun things as you grow up. I can still bike, but the part that sucks is that you got to pay bills and got things to worry about. Going biking would keep my mind off it though.
licking my butt is fun....i am home all day long....yep all day....no rooseevelt, rickburg, or the jaussi place in mountain pleasqntt warm with 900 and 2 lights...nope i am not
very insightful Daniel. I wish I could have no responsibilities for a while, but I think I would eventually want to be right back where I am now. Grade school was really fun.
