I did my semi annual Four Bay Trails ride. I like these trails because they are close and good singletrack and no one else there.
It turned out to be a good ride and the leaves were barely changing.
On General Conference weekend, I went on a drive in the mountains at home and listened to conference on the radio. This is New Canyon Lake on the picture above. So pretty with the fall leaves. Earlier that morning, I did a bike ride in Willow Creek, which was a nice ride but I didn't take any pictures.
Then the next weekend, I did a southern Utah trip down near Bryce, but I didn't go to Bryce, I rode on the Thunder Mountain Trail.
I rode on it before but this time the trail was so much better and more smooth. It's really nice and I felt good on my ride.
Very good scenery and awesome singletrack!
After Thunder Mountain, my parents and I drove up to Torrey and went through the Escalante way.
It was a very pretty, pleasant drive.
Awesome scenery through Boulder Mountain and so on.
We stayed in Torrey and the next morning, I hiked in Capitol Reef.
I hiked up Fremont Gorge Trail and it was a pretty hike with hardly anybody else there, maybe like 5 other people.
You hike steeply up to here...
....then walk on a flat part that goes on forever, which was pretty boring.
Then it gets better when you hike uphill again to this point when you see this gorge...
....and turn around, and see this, what a view!
After I got back down the bottom, I hiked on Fremont River Trail. It goes along a river for awhile, then you start climbing back up the mountain again.
The top of this climbing section.
Pretty nice.
The bottom again with the fruit trees after the hike.
