More animals we adopted...

This pretty cat is Jasper Bell and he just came to our house meowing and we fed him ever since but he still meows. Karen and Rob thinks he's meowing because it might be a girl and wants a boy cat to mate and have kittens. I kind of believe that because I watched an episode of South Park one night and it was about that, the cat kept meowing and sticking her butt up and the boys kept trying to figure out why it was meowing like heck. So later in the show it ended up it wanted a boy cat so she can have kittens. I kind of think Jasper Bell is a boy and our neighbor Doug thinks it's a boy too so we got to take it down the vet and ask if it is a boy or a girl and why it keeps meowing. I think that is a good idea. Jasper is a really good cat and likes to sleep under the deck, also the dogs wouldn't get him under there. I really like the cat.

This dog and puppies, we also adopted them just today. Bonnie brought them over for mom's birthday and he haven't thought of their names yet. I think they are Golden Retrievers and now we have 6 dogs! Crazy! This dog is smart because it is carrying a latern for the puppies!

Chimney Rock and Hickory Nut Falls (Film Site of"The Last of the Mohicans")....

Chimney Rock

Hickory Nut Falls, we hiked on a 2 and a half round trip trail with cliffs on the side to Hickory Nut Falls from Chimney Rock. Dad about died and waited for him a lot but we enjoyed the scenery. It was great!

Groundhog Slide. Hawkeye, Chingachgook, and Uncas ran up this steep slope as they chased Magua in the movie, "The Last of the Mohicans".

Nature's Showerbath. Here is where Magua and Uncas were embroiled in a dramatic fight scene and where Alice did the suicidal jump in "The Last of the Mohicans".

Top of Hickory Nut Falls. The climactic fight scene took place at the top of the falls where Chingachgook killed Magua in the movie, "The Last of the Mohicans".

This is where we stayed in. We rented 2 cabins at Black Forest Campground near Dupont State Forest.

Slide. You can slide on at the bottom side of High Falls. You can climb up to the top of that slide and go down and land in that pool at the bottom.

Fun! The rocks did not hurt my butt at all! It felt soft. Megan and Andrea slid on it more than I did, about a million times. You can slide on it for about 50 feet and then land in the 4 foot deep pool at the bottom. The water was cold!

Hooker Falls. This is where the part in "The Last of the Mohicans" was filmed where they came down on the canoe. It is high to go down it on a canoe, about 15-16 feet high.

I swam right beneath Hooker Falls! It was cold and the water was very deep! Dad did too and he got under the water fall to get his shower.

You can see me on right on the right edge of the falls. I swam way out there.

Ripley's Arquaruim in Myrtle Beach, SC...

My good old shark bite.

At first, I thought"why am I paying $20 to see some stupid fish?" Well, after I went through the aquarium, I felt satisfied. I saw sharks, sawfishes, jelly fish, piranhas, sting rays, an octapus, etc. This aquarium had a treadmill along the walk so you don't have to walk, when we got to the end I accidently press the emergency button and stopped the treadmill or whatever it was, everybody in the aquarium went "awwwww!" So I walked away and pretend it wasn't me. Anyhoo, the aquarium was awesome and I really liked the sharks. Everybody had fun.

Myrtle Beach...

We went to North Myrtle Beach in South Carolina and it was a great beach. The waves were fun, the water was very warm, and the temperature was hot. It was a very nice day to be at the beach. You can see motels all the way the eye can see on both sides. A lot of beer drinkers(Corona), kids, and girls in bikinis getting their sun tans. I had a lot of fun playing in the waves and diving into them so I wouldn't get washed away. Megan collected seashells, grandpa went in the water fully clothed(a wave got to him and fell down), Becky played in the waves also, and everybody else just sat and read books. I think Joshua, Brayden, Owen, Hannah, and Andrew would really like the beach playing in the water and the sand if they ever come and visit.

The Kingston Plantation Margate Hotel we stayed in. It has 29 floors and we stayed on the 20th floor.

The inside of the condo we stayed in. It has 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a dining area, living room, laundry room, and a very large kitchen. We stayed in it for three nights. It was a great condo! The best I have ever stayed in. I had a good time at Myrtle Beach.

Michael knows about this place and this when he ate 12-14 sets of crab legs. He just loves this place. This restaurant is $26 a pop for all you can eat crab/steak/fish bar. The crab is great and I love to dip it in butter. I had 4 sets of crab legs. Around this place there are a lot of crab buffet restaurants and this is the Young's favorite one. It is my favorite place to eat at Mrytle Beach. It is very close to Kingston Plantation and it is very well cooked and clean. The service is great too, the waitress spent all night picking up plates full of eaten crab legs. I definitely gave this nice gal a nice tip.

7 plates of crab, 1 plate of macoroni(Becky, she had a $20 dish of macoroni), and 7 glasses of Diet Coke, 1 glass of lemonade(me).

What I did on the 4th July....

After every 4th of July for the last fifteen years of putting my head under my pillow all day and watch fireworks at home, I decided that if we celebrate the 4th July, we all should have a day off and do whatever we want to do because it is the nation's holiday and it is all about freedom. So I decided to go to Park City and ride freedomly on my mountain bike. When my day started, mom told me to take a shower and I said, "Why would I take a shower right before I am going to get all sweaty and dirty on my bike ride?" Then she said, "Just get in the shower, you are all greasy and oily, I am not sitting in the car with you like that!" That is not a good start to start the day of freedom. But it was the only thing I had to do that day. I wanted to do a long ride so I did the Mid Mountain Trail that stays on 8,000 feet from Park City to The Canyons. The first 45 minutes of the ride up the Spiro Trail from the town to the Mid Mountain Trail climbs 1,500 vertical feet and it is the only part you got to suffer then all the rest of the ride was all level and that was the fun part. While riding on the Mid Mountain Trail, I had a blast! It was long, fun, and a total ass kicking ride! There were a lot of twisty turns, berms, rolling hills and I went 17 miles but you could do more if you wanted to because the trail goes who knows where. So I pedaled on the bike for 2 hours and sat and rested at a total one hour. So the total ride was a good three hours. A nice way to spend the fourth of July. I only saw 10 people on the trail but the city was crowded. Provo was horrible and makes you appreciate Christmas because everybody stays home on that day. But the trail was great and it was all shady because there was so many trees along the trail, Aspens and Douglas Firs. It was really cool. There was some rocky spots and I got a pinched flat from that, so I took out an extra tube and pumped that up and that had a hole in it too! Then I checked for patches, I had two patches but NO GLUE! So, five minutes later some guy passed by and I asked him if he had any glue and he gave me some glue and left. I am thankful for that guy because it would have been a 9 mile walk. Next time I ride, I will make sure I have a decent tube and a decent patch kit. So when I got to the Canyons, I rode down Holly's Trail to the base of The Canyons, then mom and Becky picked me up from there after their day of shopping in outlet stores.
