Tony, whoa!

Tony Barlow and his family(my big brother) went to Moab last week and I recieved this picture in the Salt Lake Tribune while he was down at the sand dunes in Moab. They were actually there in this picture. Too many people. The Tony Barlows must be so brave to be with all those people because I would just leave and go home. Tony should have gone to Ephraim or Nutty Putty instead. They would had fun just camping at Cane Valley for a week and rode all over the hills. Or at Nutty Putty. In fact, it was 77 degrees here and it was 76 degrees there in Moab so they really should of came here. But I really hope that they really had fun there anyways.

How Are The Dogs After A Long Winter?

After a loooong cold dark miserable winter, the dogs are still alive. Sadie, Sandy, Duke, Oskar, and Lucky. Sadie seemed real happy when she got out of the Willardson's garage and paid a visit to the Barlow house. She spent all winter with Duke(another Willardson dog) in the garage in back of their house. They survived in the minus's all winter and couldn't wait for spring which is here now. Lucky, the Larson's outdoor dog was the brave one. He spent all winter in the kennel in the Larson's backyard. I was impressed because Lucky is only a few months old. Sandy and Oskar, the indoor dogs, slept and slept all winter in the nice warm houses. But they were miserable because they wished it was warm outside for their bathroom breaks. Sandy is happy with the Barlows because the Barlows treat her like a queen. Look at her sleeping on the living room couch! Sandy does go out with Grandpa Barlow and takes a walk EVERYDAY, mainly to make sure Sandy poops and pee outside. But Sandy doesn't like to go on walks so Grandpa drags her out of the house and then goes. I don't see Sadie, Duke, Oskar, and Lucky go out on walks they have been good dogs over the winter.

The Mormon Kid

Matt Warner from Ephraim, UT from the late 1800s is named as an outlaw of the old west. He was born in Ephraim and at the age of 14 he badly beaten another kid fighting over some girl. He then left to Vernal because he thought he killed him. So he got a job as a herder in some ranch in Vernal. He then at the age of 20 settled there and got his own house and farm where he turned it a gamble and drinking place. He started to steal cattle and rob banks with Butch Cassidy and John McCarty all over Utah, New Mexico, Wyoming, and Colorado. He, Butch Cassidy, and John McCarty robbed a big bank in Telluride, CO. He also won a gunfight against a Mexican but nursed him back to health at his home. They called him "The Mormon Kid". Later on in 1897, he got caught and got arrested. Matt Warner was sent to prison and was pardoned by the Governor in 1900. He then became a Lawman in Price, UT and started to things right. He got married and led a happy life in Carbon County.

This is the Sikk Trailbike I was talking about. It is 160 lbs made out of aluminum(light!) and it should be fast. It only costs $1900 and I hope to get it by summer time if I start working this spring. I hope to get a job by spring and that is when all the construction starts picking up. Jason Maylett said he doesn't need any help right now but maybe later in the spring. So I also asked Ben Gordon and he also said that I might have to wait until spring. The reason why I want a motorbike is because I want to be able to go up the mountains and go everywhere and it is cheaper than a truck. I rather have a motor bike than a truck. I also go everywhere on my mountain bike but it would double the pleasure if I have both mountain bike and motor bike and a road bike. Well it is starting to get warm enough to ride on my road bike now with all my outerwear on. I went up the paved canyon road in the last two 50 degree weather days. I went on one of my best ski trips for a long time. I went to Beaver Mountain and I skied on Mogals all day long and it was so fun. Michael got sick and threw up all over the mountain and stayed in the lodge most of the day. But I still had fun. They had two mogal runs I really liked and they are probably my favorite ones in Utah. I also went to Solitude on the week before and it was also fun. There were also mogals but not as good as Beaver Mountain. I had fun on both resorts and they were nice days. I am planning to go on one more ski trip this winter.

My bikes are ready for the upcoming season....

I guess spring is coming up in about a month and a half and I am ready to ride again. I got two Kleins, a Klein q-pro road bike and a Klein Attitude mountain bike and they are a lot of fun. Can't wait 'til spring!

January

Well, it is January now and it is getting colder and snowier. I am still out of work and right now I am looking for another construction job. I asked Jason Maylett and he said to check back two weeks. I will let you know if I will ever get it. I decided not to work for Todd Alder anymore because I would like to work for somebody else and start working right now. So I hope to get that job and I really to start working so I can have something to do and make money. Over the weekend I went skiing at Powder Mountain and it was great. So I went there on a Monday and there were NO PEOPLE there. I really liked it and there were really good snow. There were powder in most places because it is more like a backcountry ski area. I still like Alta better so I probably go there this month or maybe The Canyons because Matt Osmond wants to go there with me(if he ever bought a snowboard). For some reason, he really likes The Canyons but I do too. I had a good Christmas and I got a few things for Christmas. An ipod and a DeWalt cordless 18 volt drill. I really like the drill and especially the ipod. Now I can listen music in my car because it only has a radio and I can hook it on there with a radio transmitter called the itrip. It is really nice. I also got a really cool sweater to wear to church or about anywhere. I went to the Ancient Life Musuem at Thanksgiving Point with the family during Christmas break and I thought it was the coolest thing. I never seen anything like it. They had a lot of Dino skeletons like the Brachiosaurus, the Supersaurus, two T-Rexes, and a Utah Raptor. They had a lot of other dinosaur skeletons and big fish back in the dino times. It was cool. Well whoever wants to go skiing with me, Mike, Laura, or whoever at Beaver Mountain Resort this February, can come. It should be a fun little ski trip. Well, see ya later.

Sandy, Our Dog(acts like a cat)

Laying on Daniel's shoes,

That's what Sandy likes to do,

She occasionally poos,

That's what we all have to do,

She likes to chew,

And run around the zoo,

We wonder when she'll be through,
We all will be too.
